Aqueous Humor Dynamics of Netarsudil Ophthalmic Solution 0.02% in Healthy Volunteers

Netarsudil mesylate (previously AR-13324) is a novel Rho kinase and norepinephrine transporter inhibitor previously shown to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. Multiple effects on aqueous humor dynamics (AHD) have been reported in animals including increased outflow facility and reduced aqueous humor production in monkeys, and reduced episcleral venous pressure (EVP) in rabbits. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate AHD of netarsudil in humans.
